Key Responsibilities For This Role Include

  • Managing projects for the introduction of new products ensuring that clear timelines and organization of the full product cycle is observed i.e. raw materials to stability reviews.This will include project management and co-ordination including planning, scheduling, task management and delegation, milestone planning, communication, reporting as well as delivering projects on time and on budget. Strong leadership skills and ability to work to tight timelines are essential.
  • Provide technical guidance including but not limited to raw materials, equipment, process steps and be the subject matter expert for all products on site
  • Enable and assess innovative changes across processes
  • Provide strong technical support for any other site related project planning, development, implementation and modification of existing processes
  • Process mapping, gap analysis/identification of new and existing pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
  • Process troubleshooting and optimisation (including data analysis, structured problem solving) including writing process optimization protocols and reports
  • Perform assignments and investigations that have complex objectives and require the investigation of multiple variables (including but not limited to setting out, performing and analyzing DOEs; performing data analysis on existing processes/parameters and ensuring that process is in control)
  • Managing and executing process trials and validation.
  • Perfrom work which involves complex investigations, surveys, structures of equipment(related to process) with highly complex features for which there may be no precedents
  • Leading cross functional teams as part of project planning and deployment including collaboration with supporting departments such as Production/Operations, Quality, Safety, Regulatory Affairs, Facilities and Engineering, Supply Chain and Finance.

The Minimum Qualifications For This Role Are

  • B.Eng in Chemical and Process Engineering or appropriate science or engineering discipline.
  • Proven track record of successful projects delivery in cGMP Pharma environment is essential
  • Minimum 4-6 year experience in a process engineering/formulations role in the Pharma/Biotech/Chemical industry and with process technologies
  • Experience in leading/influencing cross functional teams is essential
  • Proven track record of project based activities in the pharmaceutical industry and application of troubleshooting techniques/analysis is essential
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work in cross-functional team environments, as well as independently.
